Tomorrow will be one month since you’ve gone. And valentine’s day. I’d wait until tomorrow to write this, but I don’t think I’ll be able to.
Remember how much fun we’d make of people who wrote FB posts to people who had passed? We were pretty sure heaven didn’t have Facebook. I get it now, though.
Remember the time when we bought each other the same exact card from completely different stores? That was weird. But then, so were we.
Of course, that was before we’d decided that Valentine’s Day was invented by Hallmark and limited our celebrating until Feb 15th, otherwise known as “half-price candy day”.
I’ll miss our dash to Drug Mart to see if there are any SweetTart suckers left, and then throwing ourselves into a sugar coma.
I’ll miss making fun of candy companies that take perfectly normal candy and pretty it up with holiday packaging, only to turn around and sell it at greatly slashed prices the day after. Easter Kit Kats, anyone?
I’ll miss your annual rant about the origins of Valentine’s Day and how it’s perfectly morbid to celebrate a day of love on a day of death.
I’ll miss you 💔
Wherever you are, you’ll always be my love, every single day. ❤️
